BSGM Annual Conference 2024, Royal College of Physicians
Cerebrus Digital as delighted to once again work with the British Society of Genetic Medicine at their Annual Conference in London. The 2024 conference saw delegates from across the UK and Europe discuss the latest developments in Big Data and AI, gene therapies, the genetic spectrum of rare diseases, cancer and new technologies. The BSGM lecture was given by Prof Sian Ellard and was entitled ‘The best blood test I ever had’. There was also panel discussion on developments in genomics across the devolved nations.
The meeting, held at the Royal College of Physicians, involved deploying two cameras and operators to capture parallel sessions and film some interviews with delegates. The conference content was edited and was uploaded to the members area of the Society website. It is also the policy of the BSGM to allow delegates to view the content after the conference. This provides the opportunity to view the presentations in the parallel sessions.
Dr. Jon Day (CEO of Cerebrus Digital) commented that, “It’s a common problem that delegates cannot be in more than one place at a time. Providing on-demand access to videos after a conference means that nothing gets missed”!.
Cerebrus Digital has supported the BSGM and its constituent groups for over three years. Cerebrus Digital regularly contributes to the member’s video library which now contains over 500 presentations from conferences and on-line events.
